I sat and passed my CCNA Certification exam 640-801. I am pleased with myself because I acheived a remarkable score of 974. I scored 100% in Planning & Development, Implementation & Operation, Technology and 88% in Troubleshooting. It was a long way because when I started on the CCNA course I had very little knowledge of computers. Then, I could bearly manage to type a letter on a computer. Back then in January 2005 I started right at the beggining with the Network+ Certification. Moving on to the CCNA Introduction and the CCNA ICND. Friday the 28th of September 2007 will remain a memmorable day for me because that is the day I got my CCNA qualification.
Many thanks to all my tutors for the course material and support with my assignments.

Secured a promotion to Communications Engineer with my employer. Have been given the task of designing and overseeing the installation of a full network system in a New High School that we are in the proccess of building. The CCNP course, and my results, which I was able to show on-line was the main factor in getting this chance.

I am writing this with my left hand while the right is suspended in the air covered in bandages. You see, I am a printer by trade. The course I have been doing with skillstrain is my passport to escape the boredom and noise of a factory job. Three weeks ago I had a fight with a printing machine. I managed to get my fingers caught between the rollers and have had major surgery to re-build my fingers.
Following the success of my A+ exams I threw myself into studying and have completed 5 TMAs in just a few weeks with scores in the 90s, which I am very pleased with.
Luckily for me, my hand will mend and it should not stop me from pursuing my dream career in IT. I suppose you could say I'm lucky in that respect. My first thought after the accident happened was, "How am I going to type?!". Well, I shall just have to wait three months to find out.

After 6 weeks of studying my course work I have helped out a friend with his pc. he was having problems with his computer booting up.after reading the power supply troubleshooting part,I was able to diagnose that he had a faulty power supply, although he has not replaced the power supply yet I will be replacing it for him once he has bought it,not bad considering 6-8 weeks ago I would not have even give repairing or troubleshooting a second thought.

Since joining skillstrain I have COMPLETED my CompTIA A+ and since this has happened I have had a new job from british telecom and I am constantly being asked by potential employers to attend interviews! I am very much looking forward to passing my N+ and my CCNA with skillstrain!! I never thought in my life time I'd be motivated to study! Thanks.

I am so proud to be part of this institution. I was not quite sure when I first joined if I could be successful, but I have made immense progress and it is unbelievable what I have achieved. Today, I completed my final tutor marked assignment for the first part of my course with great confidence and am glad to say that I have done very well in the last 10 so am really proud of my self.

I am really enjoying this course so far and have learned so much already, although finding the time to study can sometimes be challenging. I am working full time on minimum wage at the moment in an environment where the scenery never changes and redundancy is always lurking around the corner. Due to my poor wages I am still living at home with my family, which isn't the worst thing in the world but being able to afford a place of my own would mean the world to me. I never seem to have much spare time, but most of it seems to slip away on helping other members of my family. My sister is due to be married in September and alot of the responsibilities have been shared out between us and I am also a bridesmaid. My younger sister has just given birth to a little baby boy, so with this and my older sisters wedding coming, our house seems to be constantly filled with visitors. This is not a good thing when they are waking me up early in the morning after I have just worked the night shift!
I have always had a huge interest in computers but never really had the option to learn more about them as there were no IT orientated subjects of study at school. I have also found over the last few years that I also have an interest in fixing things, whether at work or in the home. The material that I have studied so far has made me realise that I actually have quite a lot of knowledge in this subject that I never knew I had.
When I was young, I really struggled to think of a suitable career path. And over the years I have changed my career ideas several times. I always had it in my head that the best I could do for myself and my family was to stay at school for as long as possible and then go on to university. I settled into the idea of training to be a secondary school teacher, specialising in Physical Education. I gained the grades that I needed and was accepted into the BEd (hons) Secondary PE course. Within five months of the course I started feeling depressed and realised that I was at university for all the wrong reasons. I made the decision to leave and take a couple years out of education so that I could work full time and gain valuable work, and life experience. This way I would have more time to think about what I could do with my future. I decided that my most ideal job would be something I would enjoy doing; a job that would reward me financially for being good at my job; it would give me a sense of security and wouldn't wake me feel overworked and undervalued. I then saw a leaflet for skillstrain. After my initial meeting I realised that this job is what I would love doing and get paid well for doing it. Every aspect of the job description excited me and I just cant wait to finish the course. I know that I will find it challenging along the way but I want this so badly, I wont quit until its done!!

I began this course just over a year ago now and while my progress was slowed considerably while I moved home which had not been planned when I started the course I knew that my study time could be flexible enough for me to be able to get over this obstruction. I've now completed my A+ course and passed the exam and I'm moving swiftly on to my N+ coursework. A year ago I was made redundant and felt I was at a dead end in the industry I am currently qualified for, it was a depressing prospect to feel I was not exploring my full potential so I contacted the Skills Train. Being able to study for a qualification in a field I am extremely interested in whilst being able to study around my current day job has changed my outlook considerably and I look forward to the new prospects that are opening up for me.

I have completed Unit 1- 4 of my Network+ and Unit 1 of my A+ 89-90% on all :) .

The skills I have learned help me to configure my uncles router and fix a display Ratio problem with a media centre PC :).

Now I am watching and listening to Tech Podcasts like DL.TV, Cranky Geek, Twit and pc mag.

A month ago I never new what firmware was lol. Now I am so much more aware. I think I found my calling thank to this course :)

Where ( all around me ) things in life were not going as planned - I can now see a spec of daylight at the end of the tunnel , and for that I can thank Skills Train . This course has helped me start the cycle that will eventually change my life , and remove me from a job that hasn't produced any form of work satisfaction ( over the last few years ) , and little financial reward for the long hours that I continually put in . The happiest working days of my life will be when I set off - for a Networking career change .
The Recent Exam sucess - in passing the Comptia A+ was a significant milestone for me , and this has given me the confidence to start the next part of my course with Positive results in the first 3 TMA's . I am thoroughly enjoying this Networking course , and I have invested in a few Networking tools ( bought on e-bay ) , and have started to set up a Home Network lab - using my companies old network Hub & a couple of (permanently borrowed , and unused ) ISA NIC's . The network course notes have helped me , as one of the NIC's had a fault , and after referring to the correct section - I managed to change its IRQ , and away it went .

After giving up my regular job as a postman due to an injury I have taken up a CCNA course to assist me in understanding, within my curent job in the mobile industry, the systems we use and why and how problems arise relating to software /hardware and general IT issues that occur on a regular basis.

Not only have I been able to solve a lot of these issues myself without the need for them to be raised to our IT department, I have also developed a skill that seems to be sought after and deemed very useful within my workplace.

I have since been offered a role within our IT department that consists of diagnosing and resolving issues raised on a daily basis, reducing the workload within my department.

I feel the course has had a definate impact in me achieving this position as I mentioned my current studies and what it consists of. I was selected from a shortlist of employees within my company and am now progressing closer to reaching my goal to become a fully active member of the IT team within one of the biggest network providers in the world!

All good, and thanks to me taking the initiative to partake in a skills train online learning course.

Many thanks skills train, I only wish I had done this years ago!

I am a Cisco student and a mother of two aged 20 and 6 months.
Before joining Skills Train, life seemed to be very dull and boring. I adopted a routine with my 2 children that wasn't particularly exciting, and almost everyday of my life looked like the one before. I didn't feel that I was achieving much.
I then joined Skills Train. At first I hadn't a single idea about dealing with computers. I wasn't really fond of them. Actually I thought using PCs was a complicated thing to do. After I started to study my course materials, I realized that studing I.T was an easy and exciting thing to do.
Joining Skills Train really changed my life to the better. Now I am enjoying my course to the full especially when I started the CCNA part of the course.
I recently sat for the A+ 2003 objectives exams, CompTIA A+ core hardware exam and CompTIA A+ OS technology exam. Because the 2003 objectives exams were about to end, I had only three weeks to study each of them. That was a very difficult task to do, and I wasn't sure that I will pass the exams, especially that I have my house and children to take care of. But fortunately I passed both of them, and now I am looking forward to take the rest of my course exams.
I encourage each student in Skills Train to take his or her exams because I know it is not a difficult thing to do, and you will have a qualified certificate added to your CV.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my tutor team for their endless efforts and for being very helpful and supportive.

I have progressed highly in the past few months, and performed well in my TMA's.
Since April I have been acheiving 100 and 90 marks in my TMA's. Not going lower than 90% and for my written assignment I gained 100%.

I have been able to use the learning material from my Skills Train course in my job as an Apprentice Developer, where I develop different systems and infrastructures for the company.

From the money that I have made in my apprenticeship, I have just started renting a house in Bristol.
