I have managed to achieve 100% percent on 2 of my assignments and 97% on the last one that I submitted. I have also been ready to submit my next assignment as soon as the results from the last one arrives through the post. I have acheived all of this even though I was ill for a week with migraines. I started this course work way back in November 2005, and I my motivation declined increasingly for the next year. However, in December of 2006, with my wife almost at full term with our first child, I decided that if I was ever going to finish my course, I should do so immediately, as I would need a career that would help me in supporting not only myself, but my soon to be family. Since then I haven't looked back and have been religiously studying and submitting my TMA's. I even started over from scratch as the coursework had been updated, (thankfully!) to include pertinent information on computer networking in today's workplace. I have received 100% marks on almost all of my TMA's and I plan to finish my coursework before the end of the summer. It's amazing how much inspiration your own child can bring to oneself, and I am the more determined than ever now, thanks to my family! I recently changed isp and couldn't login to this site. Now that I can, I found I got full marks for my TMA. I thought I had done terrible due to my TMA being a written assignment. I am really enjoying the course. Well just undergoing the course was a step in the right direction for me, I have wanted to do this for a long time and never did, but now I have and am enjoying this so far. Already I have submitted three sets of TMA's the first three weeks of the month. Two of these I have received the answers back and have scored 100% on both and hopefully my third 100% is on its way, and currently I have just started the forth section of my course and will be ready to submit TMA 4 as soon as the third TMA answers are sent back to me. Even if I don't get voted for student of the month just to be on this course and receiving the positive answers back already make me a winner. Good luck to all others studying and entering the SOTM. MY ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR ARE TO DEMONSTRATE TO MY EMPLOYERS ALL THAT I HAVE LEARNT FROM MY COURSE SO FAR, THIS IS A BIG SUCCESS FOR ME. FIRST OF ALL I NEED TO SAY THAT I AM CURRENTLY JUGGLING MY COURSEWORK WITH 12 HOUR SHIFTS AT WORK AND TRYING TO SPEND TIME WITH MY SONS OF 1 AND 3.I HAVE MANAGED TO COMPLETE TMA 2 AND THREE OF MY A+ 2003 OBJECTIVES AND HAVE SINCE TRANSFERED ON TO THE 2006 OBJECTIVES.I HAVE COMPLETED TMA 1 2006 OBJECTIVES .AWAITING PROGRESS REPORT SO THAT I CAN COMPLETE TMA 2.ALL IN ALL I AM PRETTY CONFIDENT OF GOOD RESULTS AS I HAVE STUDIED VERY HARD FOR THE PAST THREE WEEKS Over the past four weeks I have had the misfortune of having my wife in the I.C.U. of our local hospital, visiting daily two or three times a day, while at the same time keeping our home in order, washing and ironing, vacuuming and any other job that has required doing and also trying to keep on top of my course-work when I eventually arrived home in the mid-evening,completing three T.M.A's and receiving all but 5% from the total possible. I would like to think I was in contention for the top prize as I am trying to upgrade my existing computer so that I can get connected to broadband and spend more time on the course web site. I am pleased to inform you my wife has now been transferred to the H.D.U. and is making a slow and steady recovery. Over the past few weeks I have successfully helped some people diagnose problems with there computers and offered advice on how to fix these problems, I have also fixed my mates pc just a couple of days ago, I took it apart and found that the P.S.U. had burnt out and today I am going round to fit the new one for him. Enrolling in the course of N+ and CCNA was one of the best things I have done for myself. I didn't even know about Cisco before and now I am glad I took this course. Whilst working in hard and arduous conditions in Afghanistan, I have managed to successfully complete my CompTia N+ syllabus and begin the first part of my CCNA course. With poor living conditions, which include constant power failures resulting in limited internet connectivity I have perservered and achieved, what I believe to be good TMA results. In addition with the new skills I have learnt, I seem to be the point of contact amongst my fellow colleagues when internet connectivity becomes an issue, and I have managed to resolve many issues for them, as the internet is the only real link with friends and family back home in the UK. I started my course in January 2007 and was eager to get learning, so I started tma01 of my comptia a+ certification. I have been under great pressure whilst doing my course as my partner was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo surgery. I have been looking after my partner and our 3 year old daughters needs and have still managed to stay focused and complete my assignments within my goal times. I am now studying tma05 and have received 90% pass rates on my previous assignments. I believe that I have made a great achievement whilst under great pressure and worry and I will continue to study so I can oneday have the dream job I always wanted. Since doing this course I have greatly improved my knowledge and understanding of the course as I am progressing further through it. Also managed to help a few people with problems on their computer, and also installing a few things into a desktop pc which consists of; RAM, Hard-Drive / DVD-RW Combi and a few upgrade so other O/S. I've noticed a significant change in percentage of the results I've recieved back for the assignments.
