I studied for and passed my Comptia A+ last year. It took me a couple of months longer than I would have liked, probably because, at 50 years old, I was very much out of practice at studying. After all, I had been left full time education for 32 years! However, I feel I am getting better, and I persevere more. I am studying the Network + course and feel I am coping pretty well despite the extra pressures of knowing that I am going to be made redundant from the job I have had for the last 28 years. I expect to do the N+ exam in May (maybe sooner!) and then it is onto the CCNA course. I can't wait. I am doing the TMA s as fast as they are being marked at the moment.and my scores are pretty good.not bad for a man who works 60 hours a week as a nurse plus got 2 kids and a girlfriend to contend with.I am really enjoying the course and a new pc or some vouchers would really make my day Managing to return to my course (and get 100% on first assignment back), despite my marriage breaking up and me being left with two kids Working on the Microsoft Certified Cisco Engineering course (MCCE) and I am now working on the CompTIA Network+ Certification Windows Server 2003 (NetMaster) and also working on PC Hardware and Maintenance - Essentials (CompTIA+ Certification which is the 2006 Objectives and I am enjoying this course alot because I always wanted to work in the IT field. Did it in the US Navy as a communicator in which my qualifications will help me out for the future and I will keep up with the course. I can't wait to get my Certification. My achievements are that I have now been able to find the time do consentrate on my course while working in a full time job ,,, planning the soon coming wedding,, and be able to achieve ,, what I consider good grades I find my self now waiting for the next code so I can submit my next exam,, always seem to be working ahead now. I have been doing this course since last September and have achieved very high scores with my assignments. Uptil now I would not have even attempted to open up my computer case. Last year my old pc packed up and I had an engineer over to see what was happening, after I found out that the motherboard needed to be replaced I decided not to go ahead with the repair but repair it myself when I have the skills needed to do this myself. This will have given my valuable experience and also saved me a fortune in repair bills. I feel I have the confidence to do this and learning from my manual has helped I am 46 years old and pursuing a Computer Networking course leading to CCNA qualification on correspondence basis. Currently I am employed as a Warehouse Operative. As you know it is not easy to study and work while fulfilling other family responsibilities. However I am glad that I have managed to complete the A+ bit and now pursuing the Network + before eventually studying for the Cisco networking system. It's been great studying with skill train I HAVE ACHIEVED A GOOD AVERAGE ON MY FIRST PART OF PC HARDWARE AND MAINTENCE BEARLY DROPING BELOW 90 AND NEVER TAKING A TMA TWICE WHICH IS GOOD IN IT SELF AS I HOLD DOWN A 50 HOUR WEEK JOB AND I HAVE TO TRAVEL 20 HOURS AS WELL SO I HAVE TO BE UP A 5.30 TO BE AT WORK 4 7.30 AND THEN I DONT GET HOME TELL 6.30 - 7.00 ON THE NIGHT SO THE TIME I HAVE IS VERY LITTLE TO READ UP AND SUBMIT TMA'S FOR THE COURSE BUT I HAVE MANGED AND I THINK I HAVE DONE VERY WELL AT THIS AND I FELL ITS AND A ACHIEVEMNET FOR ME EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE DOES I have been studying quite hard to get 100 percent in each of my TMA but the closest I had earlier got was 98 percent. I was determined in my most recent submitted assignment and I got 100 percent for the first time! My achievements are to succeed with my course as I am new to this I have just done my first section part A looking forward to achieve more out of this program my moto is be positive and get your goal
